In celebration of the commencement of activities of NPO Kissako Cha Know You, we enjoyed a bowl of matcha tea in a tearoom with our participating and supporting friends.

Rin Hamuro's novel "Koh? no Hito" features numerous historical figures from Sen no Riky? to Kobori Ensh? and Furuta Oribe and is filled with profound quotes.

A passage from the book in which Oribe speaks to Ensh? reads, "Finding peace in tea is about being true to oneself. It is human nature to adorn oneself with status and power. When entering the two-tatami-mat tearoom that Riky? conceived, I believe the mindset is to strip away such pretensions, confront oneself as they truly are, and understand oneself."

Our first step was to introduce everyone to the tearoom.
